I’ve ordered from here twice now, and both times the items showed as in stock when I placed the order. Then afterward I found out they were actually out of stock. It’s frustrating, especially when you feel pressured to buy quickly before something sells out, only to have it not be available anyway

"Loyalty program is just okay"
I shop at GrowGeneration every now and then, and the loyalty program is alright, but nothing too exciting?? The points seem to build up slowly unless you’re spending a lot, so if you’re just placing smaller orders, it doesn’t really feel like you’re saving much. It’s still nice to get a little something back once in a while, but I do wish the rewards were easier to use or actually felt like a better deal

i mean, I was just trying to set up a commercial account, but the whole thing turned into way more of a hassle than it should’ve been. I kept getting bounced from one person to another, emails took days to get answered, and it felt like nobody really knew what was happening.

I ended up having to follow up multiple times just to get basic info. For something meant for a business account, the support really shouldn’t be this difficult. I don’t think I’d go through it again

"Shipping was just too expensive"
I had a few small things in my cart and was ready to check out, but the shipping cost really threw me off. It was so high that it felt like I was basically paying for an extra item, which didn’t make much sense for what I was ordering.
I totally understand that shipping costs money, but this felt excessive. I ended up canceling the order because the final total jumped way too much, i probably wouldn’t try ordering again unless they make the shipping more reasonable.

I tried getting help through the warranty, but they just kept sending me in circles for weeks. It was super frustrating and felt like nobody really wanted to fix the issue.

I went in hoping to find what I needed, but the staff came off as kind of rude and not very interested in helping. I tried to be patient, but it was frustrating. I ended up leaving annoyed and didn’t buy anything.

"Way too expensive for what you actually get"
I felt like the price was unfair for what was included. I don’t mind paying more when something feels worth it, but this just didn’t. Charging that much for so little doesn’t sit right with me.

The checkout process went through in the end, but it felt a little clunky. It was slower than I expected, and I had to double-check my shipping info a couple of times before placing the order. Payment worked fine, and I got the confirmation email right away, so no major issues there. A friend had recommended the site to me, so I was hoping the process would be a bit easier. Overall, not a bad experience, just not as smooth as it could be

To be fair, the site has some useful options, but using it on my phone has been annoying. The filters keep breaking or not applying properly, which makes it a pain to find what I’m looking for.

I asked a few basic questions while I was there, and honestly... the staff didn’t seem to know much at all!! It was kind of frustrating because I wasn’t asking anything complicated??? Just expected a little more help.

"Box showed up crushed and leaking"
My order arrived with the box completely crushed and barely taped shut, and one of the items had leaked a little inside. I opened it and thought, how is this okay? The packaging was really flimsy and not at all what I expected. Super annoying to deal with, and I’m not sure I’d order again.

I might’ve just had bad timing with this one, but it didn’t hold up very well for me. A couple of things broke way sooner than I expected, so I was disappointed with the quality overall

I ordered from growgeneration.com thinking it would probably go out within a few days, but it basically just sat there with no real updates. The weird part is, the tracking took forever to show anything at all, so I couldn’t even tell if it had shipped or was still waiting to be processed.
I ended up emailing them just to figure out what was going on. By the time the order finally showed up, I had already bought what I needed from somewhere else. Frustrating experience, and I wouldn’t order from them again.

"Delivery was a mess"
I ordered from GrowGeneration thinking it would be straightforward, but the whole delivery process was a mess. It was late, tracking barely updated, and it just sat there for days while I had to keep checking it myself. What a joke.

When the package finally arrived, the box was all beat up and part of my order was missing. Support took forever to respond and didn’t really explain anything, so I wouldn’t order again if I needed something to show up on time.

"Promo discounts felt pointless"
I tried using a promo code on GrowGeneration, and it kept coming back as “not valid,” even though the sale banner was still right there at the top of the page. I refreshed it twice because I thought maybe the site was lagging, but nope, same message every time.

The annoying part was that a bunch of items in my cart apparently didn’t qualify, but that wasn’t obvious until checkout. I had already spent time comparing sizes, prices, and even little stuff like which product had the better lid design, so finding out at the end felt like a total waste.

I reached out to customer service, but the reply was basically just a generic explanation and didn’t really fix anything. If the discounts have that many exclusions, they should make it clearer upfront. I probably won’t bother shopping there again for promos.

"Wrong stuff showed up"
So my order showed up and it was just... not right. There were a couple of things in there that I definitely didn’t order, and then one of the items I actually needed was missing, which is always frustrating because you’re expecting to just open the package and be done with it. Instead I had to spend extra time figuring out what happened and how to get it fixed. Not exactly the best first order experience, honestly...
